There are a lot of steps involved in coming to study in a new country! Although this checklist is not an exhaustive list of everything that you must do before coming to Toronto, you’ll definitely need to look into these items:
Apply for a Study Permit. You will need to apply for a Study Permit from your home country (except if you are a citizen of the United States).
Convert your high school Study Permit to a university Study Permit. If you studied in Canada for high school, you must apply for a university-level Study Permit. You can contact us to book an appointment with an Advisor to go over the process.
Take care of your enrollment. In order to be enrolled at U of T, you must select your courses on ROSI and pay your fees. Consult the Registrar’s Office for full instructions.

Copy or scan important documents. Extra copies of important documents such as health records, school letters, passport, Study Permit or Letter of Introduction, Temporary Resident Visa, and prescriptions for drugs can be put in your luggage and left with a trusted relative or friend. Your original documents should be kept on you at all times in addition to any currency or cheques.
