Financial Matters
As a student at UTSC it is important to keep in mind 3 types of costs you will need to pay for the duration of your studies:
- Tuition Fees, which depend on the program of study that you are in.
- Incidental Fees, which include compulsory Non-Academic Incidental Fees and Ancillary Fees, such as the gym fees, student union fees, etc. (there is no difference in the incidental fees for Domestic and International students).
- Living/studying costs
The following presents the estimated cost of living and studying at U of T for a 12 month period. These figures are in Canadian dollars.
The student’s choice of accommodation will be a major factor in establishing the cost of living.

Food $4,000 – $5,500
Clothing $1,200 – $3,000
